Roid Rage!!!

Emily is doing great, well except for a weird rash spreading over her body! The poor girl can't catch a break. We spent most of the day at the allergist office today, and were finally told she has roid rage. Not really, just a reaction like acne from the super duper steroids. So tomorrow we go to another appointment at the dermatologist. But she got weighed today, and is gaining back all the weight she lost in ICU. So that is good news. She actually feels pretty much back to normal except for just getting tired a little more easily. Once again, it's nice to be 20! She is getting out, shopping, and visiting with friends. By the way, her friends have been AWESOME through this ordeal!!! Our next big milestone is chemo #2 on Thurs. We are expecting it to go well, but keep those prayers coming!

Good Heavens....she can't catch a break!! So thankful she handling all this so well and trying to "roll with the punches." We are still praying and believing that Thursday is behind you easily with no surprises, and life can begin to function normally for you all. We are still praying for you and believing that every day is one day closer to her complete restoration. Much love to you all....

So glad you've been able to get out and about. I'm amazed at how quickly you have bounced back - wasn't it just a week ago you were in ICU ? The roid rage will all pass soon - hang in there. Just remember that acne makes us all look younger :) Be sure to take tons of pictures - you will actually enjoy looking back on this entire journey soon enough and can tell your story through all the crazy moments you have had ! Keeping you in our prayers every day - you are loved !

  3. Emily,
Glad you are feeling so much better! Was praying for you from Texas. As always, let me know if you need anything! I look forward to speaking "with" you instead of just "to" you next time we get to chat!

  4. I am amazed at how strong tiny little Emily is. My favorite words I use to describe her when friends ask about her or how she's doing are "spunky" and "tough". Not a bad combo at all. Hang in there, Emily. Sorry about the dumb old rash.
